Resident Activities

UTMB Anesthesiology Residents are active around campus. Many are members of Resiterns, a group of interns, residents, fellows and their families that provide support for one another through special interest, social service and community activities. www.utmb.edu/resiterns/

Each year our residents are active in the UTMB House Officer Association (HOA). In 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 our residents served as President, Secretary, and Treasurer of HOA. The House Officers Association works with the dean and university resident coordinators to assure a good work environment for residents.

Our residents also participate in multiple committees around UTMB including the Transfusion Committee, Internal Review Committee, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, and Graduate Medical Education Committee. This year Dr. Kevin Delaney from the Department of Anesthesiology serves as chairmen for the Chief Resident Advisory Committee for the entire hospital. www.utmb.edu/gme/

The Anesthesiology Department sends a resident delegate yearly to the Texas Society of Anesthesiology and the American Society of Anesthesiology Meetings.
